My name is Laural and I am the owner and creator of Rustic Squirrel Candle Co. 

How Rustic Squirrel came to be.

When I was a little girl, my uncle started calling me Squirrel. I've always loved the nickname and to this day, I still get called Squirrel by some of my close family and friends.

I have always desired a simple lifestyle and the name of my company reflects that. 

My personality shines through in my brand and I couldn't be more excited with how things are coming along.

A few years ago, I began researching small business opportunities and I came across candle making.  I decided to order some supplies and continued researching like crazy!  I fell in love with the process of making my own candles and the flexibility I have to be creative with my products.

Simply put, I want to offer natural candles as alternatives to paraffin-based candles which contain harmful chemicals and petroleum; so I chose to make all-natural soy candles. My candles do not contain dyes and I use clean fragrance oils that are phthalate-free. You can feel confident about burning them around your family and pets.

I make my candles in small batches out of my home in Michigan.  The soy wax that I use is produced from U.S. grown soybeans so in turn, my candles also support American farmers.

To me, simple is more and I would love to help you enjoy some of the simple things in life.
